Buying wheat flour from Turkey in bulk — importer's guide

Turkey is the world's largest wheat flour exporter. Hundreds of mills sell abroad — and plenty of brokers resell their flour with a margin and no control. Here is how to buy from the mill itself.

Written for: Importer or distributor in Africa, the Gulf or Asia buying flour by the container.

1. Specify the flour

State use (bread, pastry, all-purpose), protein %, ash %, moisture, gluten and falling number. Ask for a lab sheet from the last production batch.

  • Bread flour: protein 11.5–13%
  • Packing: 25 kg or 50 kg PP bags, or own-brand 1–10 kg
  • A 20ft container holds roughly 25 MT

2. Buy from the mill, not the broker

Ask for the mill's registration, export history and a live video of the packing line with your bag design. Brokers can't do that on demand.

3. Inspect and pay safely

Use an independent surveyor at loading and pay the balance against inspection and shipping documents or a letter of credit.

4. Get verified offers

Send your spec, volume and destination through Amanect. We match you with scored producers, return verified offers, and arrange independent inspection before the balance is paid.
