1. Define the product precisely
Specify crude (CSFO) or refined, bleached, deodorised (RBD) oil, the standard (DSTU 4492 or buyer spec), free fatty acid, moisture, peroxide value and packing. Vague specs are where disputes start.

2. Choose volume and format
Flexitanks (roughly 20–22 MT per 20ft container) suit trial and mid-size orders. Vessel parcels from Black Sea or Danube ports suit 1,000 MT and up. Bottled product ships in 20ft or 40ft containers.
3. Verify the seller holds the oil
Ask for the producer's registration, recent export records and proof of product (storage or tank receipt). A soft corporate offer with a request for upfront fees is the classic warning sign. Amanect verifies the crusher or refiner directly before any contract.
4. Inspect quality and quantity at loading
Appoint an independent surveyor (SGS, Bureau Veritas, Intertek) to sample and measure at loading. The certificate of analysis and quantity report protect both sides and are usually required by your bank.
5. Use safe payment terms
Irrevocable letters of credit or documentary collection against inspection documents are standard. Never send large advances to an unverified intermediary.
